Sustainable Green Strategies for Small Business Delivered

Jim Terrinoni, Marketing Strategist with Line of Design and cSTEWARDS and Tim Hall, Vice President of Hummel's Office Plus co-presented a program called “Sustainable Green Strategies” to over sixty local small business owners and the general public who were in attendance at the Cayuga Chamber Business Expo on Thursday, November 13, 2008. Their talk provided numerous ways that small businesses could become more environmentally and economically efficient and profitable. These ideas ranged from material selection and certifications to workflow improvement, from communication styles to meeting techniques.

cSTEWARDS GREEN STRATEGIES RECOGNIZED BY SYRACUSE CHAMBER

cSTEWARDS and Line of Design were recognized by the Greater Syracuse Chamber of Commerce for their efforts in “greening a small business.” Jim Terrinoni, Marketing Strategist with Line of Design stated that we have passionately been implementing economic and environmental stategies for the past 20 years. We recommend these strategic solutions to our clients. One of our cSTEWARD presentations is “Sustainably Green Strategies” that educates small businesses what they could do today, with little or no change to their IT infrastructure, to be more economically and energy efficient.”

cSTEWARDS UPGRADES SERVICES

cSTEWARDS has increased their collaboration services. A large portion of their training and consulting is being shifted to the Internet. This will allow present clients to utilize the cSTEWARDS’ facilitation and event management capabilities. They are looking at hiring additional personnel to handle the enhanced services.

U.S. Green Building Council - GreenBuild 2006, Denver, CO

Jim Terrinoni, Marketing/Communication Strategist, participated in the USGBC GreenBuild conference. He learned from all the keynote speakers and numerous educational sessions. As a practitioner of Learning Communities, Jim shared his marketing expertise in the Architects Member Circle.

While in Denver, he also visited with existing clients and collaborated on developments for downtown Denver.

Learning communities are a collective of individuals sharing the responsibility to help each other enhance knowledge and skills for a common goal. Within this environment organizational instruction is characterized by active and participatory teaching, collaborative learning, and shared decision making.
